Which type should I choose?

Code 128 for almost anything; use EAN-13 or UPC when a shop scanner expects retail product codes.

Why does it refuse my EAN-13?

EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits only — no letters. We tell you when the value won't fit the symbology.

Will it scan?

Yes — the PNG is drawn at a comfortable module width with quiet margins. Test one print before a big run.
