Questions
Does it find every plate?
No. Detection works best on a straight-on, well-lit plate that takes up a decent part of the frame. Angled, distant or dirty plates are often missed — check the result before posting.
Why default to strong?
A lightly blurred plate can sometimes still be read by sharpening. For something that identifies a person, unreadable is the right default.
What if no plate is found?
We say so rather than return the photo unchanged.
