Is this the rate I'll get?
No — and that's the point. This is the mid-market reference rate. Banks and cards add a margin, typically 1–3%, so compare their quote against this number.
How often is it updated?
The ECB publishes once each business day, around 16:00 CET. Weekend rates are Friday's.
Which currencies are covered?
The ECB's published list — roughly 30 major currencies. If one isn't available we say so rather than guess.
